My wife is an english (plus) speaking immigrant, a naturalized citizen.
When presented with:

A Thai person has memorized the constitution and BoR in Thai, but does
not speak english. Should they be made a citizen?

I say Hell Yes! She says no. She is biassed by SoCal anti-immie,
even though she's a well-educated first generation.

My ancestors were farmers when they came over, or textile workers
in the city.

I'm also Lib, and that implies open borders. So I tend toward open borders,
though deporting uncitizen criminals would be good. Pharmaceutical offenses
are not legit offenses and should not be honored or counted.
