Just watched, via netflix, A Scanner Darkly, which I had read as a novel when I was into P. K. Dick a few years back, briefly. I love the Orange county and Santa ana references.

Very cool cinemascopiing or whatever. And the movie helped me understand the book. Rare, I know, but the book is as disjointed / alien / fucked up as the movie / protagonist / substance D.
