A Marine from San Clemente on foot patrol in Southern Afghanistan was killed Wednesday in a roadside bomb explosion, a spokesman for the 1St Marine Division at the Camp Pendleton said.

Several other Marines also were injured in the blast in which Lance Cpl. Donald J. Hogan, 20, died.
