Found this in the comments to Rosen's piece on the Talib. How many retarded-patriotic cliches are there?

"Real men are putting their lives on the line to serve their country and honor their oath of service"



And that's ignoring "real men". They are paid mercs with no better job prospects. They are doing, zombielike, what they are told by clueless politicians. They are not defending the US (perhaps Israel is their country?) and their honor is
toast. Oaths are for oafs. Service is what slaves do.
