10 year old, asking maths.

Two numbers, multiply them. They are whole numbers plus fractions, eg,
4 1/5 x 3 2/3
four and one fifth times three and two thirds.

What you do is this: convert them to simple ("Improper" ?) fractions:

4x5+1 fifths times
3x3+2 thirds

Then you just multiply the top and bottom.

21 / 5 x 11/3 =

(21 x 11) / (15) = 231 / 15 = 15 + 6/15

Later you will map one space to more ridiculous spaces where answers are easier, then map back. Fourier, Hamming, LaPlace, etc.
